Fishermens Bastion Budapest

This bastion would not be out of place in Disneyland, and is situated on the easter edge of Castle Hill, opposite St Matthias Church. It was building at the end of the 19th century and is predominantely gothic in style designed fy Frigyes Schulek. Its has seven cylindrical towers which represents the seven original trips of the Magyar tribes who once inhabited this place. It is a great vantage point to view the beautiful city of Budapest where you get sweeping views of the Budapest Paliament and the Danube. You can also see Margaret Island and many of Budapest famous Bridges. Around the bastion at weekends there are craft stalls and gift shops, though tourists to Budapest sometimes pay over the odds so you need to be careful of not getting ripped off.
