Budapest City Park
Budapest, like many other major European cities, can be exhausting for the visitor. With incessant crowds, taffic and the general bustle of city life, it can sometime be very stressful on its citizens and visitors alike. Thankfully, Budapest has many tranquil spots, from small cafes to city-centre parks.
Though Budapest has an abundance of parks and gardens, during the summer, public holiday and weekends these places are not as quiet as you would like. One of the best places for respite from the busy city of Budapest is City Park known as Varosliget in Hungarian which has extensive gardens, woodland, a zoo, a few museums, a circus and the famous Szcheneyi Budapest baths.

City Park is the biggest of its kind in Budapest, where you can find an array of entertainment for children as well as tranquility for adults. The entrance to the park is marked by the famous Andrassay boulevard and Budapests Heroes Square. Standin on an island in the boating lake is the fairly-tale Vajdahunyad Var castle. The park also houses the Allatkert Zoo which is a favourite among children especially their Animal Kindergarten where new born animals are kept. Next to the Budapest Zoo is the Favarosi Nagycirkusz which is the Circus which has a carousel, roller coaster, Ferris weel and an enchanted castle.

The lavist art nouveau building that houses the Szechenyi Gyogyfurdo thermal baths are the largest of their kind in Europe. Here you will see people aged between 8 - 90 who endulge themselves in the baths. Some relaxing playing chess while others sit back and relax in the baths.
Located in City Park you will also find the Robinson restaurant. Long and tumultuous decades later, world famous restaurateur George Lang came along in 1992 to awaken the Sleeping Beauty and create an unrivaled dining experience.
Towards the south west corner of City parks you will find the Kozledesi Muzeum which is the Budapest Transport Museum.
